Master Halco Aluminum Coated (Aluminized) Steel Chain Link Fabric on Galvanized Steel Framework
Aluminized coated steel wire is steel wire that has been hot-dip coated with an aluminum alloy. This process assures a tight metallurgical bond between the steel wire and its aluminum coating producing a material with a unique combination of properties possessed neither by steel nor by aluminum alone. Aluminized coated steel wire has the surface characteristics of aluminum yet the strength of steel while providing good to excellent corrosion resistance. Coating weight on the wire is based on diameter: 6 gauge (0.192”) and 9 gauge (0.148”) have a 0.40 oz./ft.² aluminum coating and 11 gauge (0.120”) has a 0.35 oz./ft.² aluminum coating.
